We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to do so under Art. 37 GDPR and § 38 BDSG. Data protection questions go to the address above.

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. on servers within the European Union. When you open a page, the hosting provider processes technical connection data in log files: the abbreviated IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system version. This is done on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the site. Log data is deleted after 30 days at the latest. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

We set no analytics or advertising cookies. The site stores two entries in your browser: your language choice and your decision about the map. Both are stored in local storage on your own device, are not transmitted to us and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings. The legal basis for the storage of your consent decision is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (2) TDDDG.

The map on the contact section is not loaded until you actively allow it. Only then does your browser establish a connection to the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS, United Kingdom, which receives your IP address. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You may withdraw the consent at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer, with effect for the future.

If you send us the trial session form we process the name, email address, any telephone number, your preferred day, your stated experience with a barbell and the free-text message. We use this data solely to arrange and hold the trial session. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as the processing takes place at your request in the run-up to a contract.

Requests that do not lead to a membership are deleted six months after the last contact. If a membership follows, the data becomes part of the member file and is kept for the duration of the membership plus the statutory retention periods under commercial and tax law of up to ten years (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

Please do not send us health information through this form. If something about your health is relevant to your training, tell the coach on the floor.

For members we process contact details, date of birth, the SEPA mandate for the monthly fee, attendance for the coached slots and, where you take part, competition results. The legal bases are Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the membership contract and Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR for retention obligations.

The board in the hall and on this website shows a first and last name, a weight class, a weight in kilograms and a date. Names are published only with the separate written consent of the lifter concerned, on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by a message to hallo@eisenlager.de; we then remove the name from the board and from this website at the next update and keep only the anonymous number.

Competition results published by a federation are public information from that federation and are reproduced here in the same form.

People under 18 train here only with a written declaration from a parent or guardian, and only in a coached slot. The declaration is submitted by the parent or guardian, never by the young person, and we collect no more than the name, the date of birth and one contact address for the guardian. Trial session requests for a person under 18 must be sent by the parent or guardian.

Data is passed on only where it is necessary: to our hosting provider, to our tax adviser and to the bank handling the direct debit, and — where you enter a competition — to the organising federation. There is no transfer to third countries outside the EU or the EEA.

You have the right to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover.

We adapt this privacy policy when the website or the legal position changes. The current version always applies.
